Dimitri Payet and France suffered Euro 2016 final heartbreak as Portugal ruined their Stade de France party in extra-time on Sunday.
The West Ham midfielder played 58 minutes before being substituted by boss Didier Deschamps as he opted to bring Kingsley Coman on in his place.
Eder landed the decisive blow in 109 minutes after he beat keeper Hugo Lloris with a right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner.
Payet ends the tournament with three goals from seven and was named as Euro 2016’s player of the tournament by Uefa’s player barometer.
His moment of the tournament came in France’s opening match where he scored a late winner in their opening game against Romania.
His second came in the 2-0 victory over Albania and his third in the quarter final over Iceland.
