Walthamstow's Lutalo Muhammad is guarenteed at least a silver medal in the men's taekwondo 80kg after he defeated Milad Beigi Harchegani of Azerbaijan to reach the final.
The 25-year-old beat the European champion 12-7 and will now face either Oussama Oueslati of Tunisia or Ivory Coast's Cheick Sallah Cisse.
Muhammad won bronze at London 2012 and will look to go one better and he moved into a decivie lead in the second round of his semi-final and held his advantage.
The final will take place at 02:15 BST on Saturday.
