WALTHAM Forest Hockey Club are holding four events over the next few weeks that will be open to everyone - whether you've never played before, haven't picked up a stick since school, or even if you're a budding international.

On Saturday, September 3, the hockey club will be hosting a 'Club Day' at Walthamstow Academy on Billet Road.

There will be hockey based activities and games for men, women, teenagers and kids and it is a great opportunity to try your hand at hockey, meet people in the club and have a bit of a run around.

The club will also be offering barbecue and music, followed by a night out with some of the hockey players later, should you make some friends while you're playing!

Everyone is welcome from 11am until 3pm with disabled hockey starting a little earlier at 10am and you can just turn up on the day.

Waltham Forest will also opening its doors to people to try out hockey at 3 taster sessions 7pm-8pm on the 7th, 14th and 21st September also being held at the academy and you're welcome to come to as many or as few sessions as you like.

Should you catch the bug, the club has lots of teams catering for players of all ages and abilities.
