Chris Dagnall said he is sad to see former club Leyton Orient struggling but is focused on increasing their woes on his Brisbane Road return.

Dagnall left the O's little more than a year ago after he was a part of the side who reached the League One play-off final in 2014.

Since this momentous occasion the Os have fell to the third tier of football and sit only two points above the drop zone.

He told the Stoke Sentinel: "It has changed a lot since I was there. And there might only be one or two players left from my time there.

"It's such a shame. It's a good club with great fans and based in a great location.

"I joined them in the middle of the play-off season and it's disappointing to see where they arem but this is what happens when new owners come in and change things."

Russell Slade signed the 30-year-old in January 2014 and the striker scored twice on his debut against his now side Crewe Alexandra.

Following Slade's departure for Cardiff later that year Orient have had five different managers, with Os boss Alberto Cavasin now in charge.

Dagnall admitted he felt he will be going back to a very different club than he one he left for Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters.

Crewe are going through their own sort of problems after they have failed to win in any of their last seven matches.

They sit 12th in the table following their 1-0 defeat to Yeovil last weekend.

The former Hibernian player said: "Saturday will be a tough game. They beat Hartlepool away so will go in to the match with a bit of confidence, but we're looking to get back to winning ways.

"Hopefully we will do that at the weekend."
