New Hull City manager Marco Silva insists Robert Snodgrass will not be allowed to leave the club, despite continued interest from West Ham United.

The London Stadium club had a £3m bid for the 29-year-old Scotland international rejected last week.

Snodgrass’ 12 goals makes him Hull’s top scorer this season and Silva is understandably keen to hold onto a player who has carried the Tigers throughout the campaign.

“In this moment I want to improve my team,” Silva said. “I don’t want to lose players, important players of course.

“I hope [Snodgrass] will continue with us, he’s an important player for us.”

Snodgrass has 18-months left to run on his contract after Hull activated a clause to extend his current deal by a year in December.

The Evening Standard reports that Sofiane Feghouli’s days as a West Ham player could be numbered should the Hammers manage to secure Snodgrass’ signature.

Roma are reportedly keen to bring the 27-year-old Algerian in on loan until the end of the season, with a view to completing a permanent £12m deal in the summer.
