Eton Manor delivered a sensational 51-19 win over Saffron Walden in London 1 North last weekend at the New Wilderness.

The home side scored their first try after five minutes when Elliot Brown crashed over the line.

The visitors soon levelled the scores when they scampered over for a try of their own three minutes later.

Rhys Davis-Horne soon put the hosts back out in front, and this time Nick Sheppard was successful with his conversion.

Callum McKie added Manor’s third try to extend the lead to 17-5 after 14 minutes.

Manor secured a bonus-point try nine minutes later when Brown added his second of the day.

Saffron Walden managed to reduce the deficit to 22-12 but the hosts added two more scores through Sheppard and Corrado Martelletti to make it 34-12.

The second half was not quite the same one-sided affair, but John Robinson and Brown rounded off the game.

Fellow league side Chingford secured a whopping 88-0 victory over Barking and remain third in the table.

Epping Upper Clapton grinded out a 23-21 over Holt the London 2 North East.

Holt scored the first try of the game but bad news followed when one of their players was sin binned.

Clinton Dorling went over the line for a first Clapton score before John Gunnell added a second.

Harry Banes scored three penalties and Dorking added his second try to seal the victory.

Woodford lost 25-7 to Norwich and slipped to ninth in the table.

And Wanstead kept their top spot in London 3 North East with a 61-14 victory over Upminster.

On Saturday they take on third-placed East London, who sit eight points behind them in the table.
