London Raiders will hope they can seal fourth place in the National Ice Hockey League South this weekend.

In order to gain the fourth spot, the Raiders' match against Oxford City Stars on Sunday (6:15pm face-off) will be a tantalising affair.

But first the Lee Valley Ice Hockey Club are set to face Streatham Redhawks at 5pm tomorrow at home.

The games gives them a chance to level the series as so far they have achieved one win, two draws and lost once against the South London side.

Earlier in the season, the 0-0 draw between the two teams was the first ever goalless draw for the Raiders in their 30-year history.

But the Raiders are likely to be without top scorer Marek Nahlik but hope to have him back on the ice in the play-offs, to take place on Saturday, March 25 to Sunday, March 26.

This weekend will also see them without JJ Pitchley who’s penalty points tally sees him on a suspension.

However, this does free him up for the play-offs, which could be a more focal point for the club at this stage.

The match begins at 5pm at the Lee Valley Ice Centre.
