Freddy Moncur has extended his Leyton Orient stay after signing a new one-year contract at Brisbane Road.
The 20-year-old has been with the O’s since 2015 and has so far made 11 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The midfielder spent most of last term on loan with Bishop’s Stortford after joining the club in October.
He has had trials at other clubs throughout the summer, but director of football Martin Ling says it was an obvious decision to keep hold of him.
Ling told the O’s website: "I felt that Freddy performed well here last year and that it would be good to fetch him back in to the Club.
"I know he had trialled elsewhere during the summer, but I believe he goes in well to the bracket of young players that we have here who can be a good squad member.
"I saw Freddy play quite a lot when he was part of the Youth Team here, and although I haven't seen much of him over recent years I believe he deserves this opportunity."
