Danny Webb has called on Leyton Orient’s Undr-18s to use a 4-0 FA Youth Cup drubbing against West Bromwich Albion as inspiration to improve.

The O’s Premier League opposition, who boasted a number of internationals among their number, made light work of ending orient’s cup run.

Regardless, Webb feels his players had plenty to be proud about and wants them to target reaching the level attained by their opposition.

“They have three or four internationals in that team and you have to be realistic,” Webb said. “I was pleased with the way the players showed they can play in a team and be disciplined.

“My last message in the dressing room was that is where they want to get to. Will you all get there? No. Will some of you? Maybe.

“You have to aim that high. We are playing a Premier League youth team and we are a conference youth team. We have to be proud of that.

“I want the players to be thinking what can they do to be pulling on a Premier League shirt one day.”
