Forest travelled away to Upminster looking for their first win of the season.

The match started with the home team being pressurised by Forest’s waves of attacks and finally cracked with a well placed goal by Imran putting forest 0-1 up.

Shortly later Luciano Da Silva took the ball past several defenders and fired away a belter to the bottom left corner with the keeper stretching but unable to stop it.

Forest continued to apply pressure but Upminster started to find their feet and eventually won and scored their first goal from a short corner bringing the score to 1-2.

Forest weren't giving up without a fight and scored their third goal through a short corner strike by Cillie Truter who broke the head clean off his stick with a lightening shot that had the keeper and defender on the post diving to stop it.

Forest went into the second half 1-3 up and continued to apply pressure with several chances going amiss.

Eventually the delayed Phil Peacock and Seb Bennett made it to the ground and were eager to get involved.

Both were put onto the field and this seemed to throw Forest's rhythm out with the home team now attacking and quickly scoring another short corner goal.

Forest fought back with a fourth goal scored by Chris Drewe putting Forest 2-4 up.

Both Forest and Upminster had players sent off for a number of offences with Upminster taking advantage of the situation and scoring a third goal.

Forest held on to a deserved 4-3 win and their first points for the season.

Meanwhile, Waltham Forest's ladies will be disappointed to have surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Upminster.

Anna Ring had converted Forest's dominance into goals, getting both as the team went into half-time two to the good.

Upminster came out with all guns blazing after the break and after a relentless spell of pressure got back into the game with a goal.

Keeper Mog Campbell was to thank for preserving the lead, and Forest then looked to have won the game when a flowing passing move led to goal number three.

However, a poor last ten minutes gifted their opponents two more goals and a share of the spoils.
