Q. I am looking for an internal ladder which I could use to drape fabrics on. Who would you suggest?

A. There are several companies on our online directory that do pretty clothes’ ladders: Bambienti do a bamboo one (www.bambienti.com); Emily Readett-Bayley has both a bamboo one and a faux-driftwood one in her range (www.emilyreadettbayley.com) and antique dealer Appley Hoare usually has some pretty French painted step- ladders in stock (www.appleyhoare.com).

Q. Where can I find a double wicker laundry basket? I can only find low square ones and I want a rectangular one with 2 sections or 2 tall square ones to sit side by side.

A. We have searched through lots of companies which specialize in bathroom storage but double laundry baskets are rare. The Holding Company has one on their website (www.theholdingcompany.co.uk), but it is not in wicker. Lakeland (www.lakeland.co.uk) has a slimline laundry basket which would look good with another one standing by its side. Oka (www.okadirect.com) has a lovely tall, woven rectangular one called the Zanzibar, but two might take up too much space. You could also have a look at these websites: www.aplaceforeverything.co.uk and www.cotswoldco.com

This invaluable online directory features a large database of more than 3,500 companies covering all aspects of interior and garden design and decoration. It’s the essential resource both for professionals and for the general public.
