An exciting banquet of dance, conversation and multimedia arts is set to be held at the William Morris Gallery, as part of this year’s E17 Art Trail.

Following the success of Fandango at Selbourne Walk Mall, as part of Words Over Waltham Forest, Ajos Dance is presenting Feast-17.

The group, a social enterprise, which provides dance workshops and festivals across the country, is part of the Ajos Trust, a charity championing the fight against poverty in the Philippines.
At Feast-17, Ajos Dance will showcase experimental work, exploring the power of dance and movement in a social context.

East London and West Essex Guardian Series:

Joining the dancers will be a series of performers and special collaborative artists that have proven inspirational including the photographic works of Formento & Formento from their book Circumstance, filmmaker Sean Hedman, local artist Hassan Vawda, Marmalade Inspired from Sheffield and independent dance artist Antonio de la Fe, among others.

Jj Formento, who runs the trust, says: “Feast-17 will be an exciting showcase, where we will toy with mechanisms and play with boundaries that affect the way that dance is conventionally experienced by the public.

“The event has a multi-dimensional scope encompassing not only local community arts but also international development outreach.”

Feast-17 is at the William Morris Gallery, Lloyd Park, Forest Road, Walthamstow, on Sunday, June 15. Details: facebook.com/ajostrust, 07925 504888
