While Leytonstone Arts Trail kicks off this week, next week it’s the turn of Leytonstone Festival.

Preparations for the annual event are in full swing and visitors can expect a variety of wonderful events in the area, thanks to the diverse programme created by organisers.

And from the looks of things, this year’s festival is set to be bigger and better than ever.

From British beer and cheese tasting courtesy of Eat the Rind, to talks on Italian World War II prisoners and Wanstead Flats from Leyton and Leytonstone Historical Society, to pop-up supper clubs, to theatre shows, there’s plenty to fill your calendar over the ten-day festival.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, you can indulge in North Indian arts and culture at the Leytonstone Baithak, indulge in a perma culture workshop, there’s also a pop-up cinema, a book club event, an ale festival at the Red Lion pub and plenty of live music. What more could you ask for?

Leytonstone Festival will be held in various locations throughout the area from Thursday, July 10 until Sunday, July 20.
