An annual celebration of vintage glamour, classic boats and the golden days of sailing takes place in the capital next week.

The Thames Revival, in St Katharine Docks, will feature an eye-catching combination of restored classic boats and vintage dress.

More than 50 boats including vintage oyster smacks, Thames barges, Oxford and Cambridge boats, and classic yachts, will represent London sailing throughout the ages. The sailors will be in classic sailing costume that is particular to the era of their boat.

Also, throughout the day, live swing and jazz bands will play, and there will be old-fashioned deck games and boat-themed activities.
