The works of one of the most important landscape designers of the 19th and 20th Centuries are set to be exhibited at Epping Forest District Museum.

James Pulham & Son has created gardens of both local and national importance, from High Leigh in Hoddesdon to Buckingham Palace.

From its base in Broxbourne, the company produced a wide range of very high quality and classically designed terracotta garden ornaments, such as vases, urns, sundials and fountains.

To accompany the opening of the exhibition on Claude Hitching, author of Rock Landscapes – The Pulham Legacy, will be at the museum signing copies of his book on Saturday, February 9, 11am to 1pm.

The Pulhams of Broxbourne is at Epping Forest District Museum, Sun Street, Waltham Abbey, from February 9 to May 6. Details: www.efdhistory.org.uk
