What do you get when you combine Britain’s rock ‘n’ roll bad boys with an East End hip hop artist?

Find out for yourself, when 1970s punk act Cockney Rejects perform alongside Reason at Rebellion Festival this weekend.

Since the group handpicked the musician, they’ve been working hard in the studio to prepare for a special performance of their song East End Babylon, which is also the title of the 2013 film about the Cockney Rejects experience growing up in East London, their tumultuous career in the spotlight and the East End way of life back in the 70’s.

Reason will take to the stage for a three-verse collaboration during the seven- minute track in front of thousands of punk fanatics.

Despite the tough crowd, Reason, real name Louis Bowers isn’t nervous about the performance, in fact he’s looking forward to it.

“Never in a million years would I have imagined, not only working with, but sharing a stage with the legendary Cockney Rejects," he says. "I’m excited to get out there and perform, I hope they’re ready for a party.”

Cockney Rejects and Reason are at Rebellion Festival, Winter Gardens, Blackpool. The festival is held from August 8 - 11. -Details: rebellionfestivals.com
