Walthamstow comedian Rob Auton shot to fame when he won Best Joke of the Fringe 2013.

Now he is headlining Soho Theatre with The Face Show.

What is The Face Show about?

The Face Show is about faces. Human faces specifically. The show is not suitable for animals with faces or birds with faces.

Do you like your face?

My current face is a true representation of what the front of my head looks like. I’m not sure I am the happiest I have ever been with my face. When I was a baby I had a well good face, but I couldn’t appreciate it at the time.

If you could change anything about your face what would it be?

I don’t know, I think if I changed it I wouldn’t mess around. I would want to undergo some sort of Face Off style swapping operation. I wouldn’t mind having John Travolta’s face. Just walking along Hoe Street being John Travolta could be quite fun.

Can you do anything weird with your face?

I can look annoyed when I’m actually really happy, I guess that’s quite weird for other people. “What’s wrong with you?”, “I’m happy”.

What’s the first face you remember seeing?

Ian Botham on Question of Sport.

Whose face is your favourite?

Ian Botham on Question of Sport.

If you could swap faces with someone who would it be?

Ian Botham on Question of Sport. Ah, but I said John Travolta up, there didn’t I? Blast. I can’t change it now.

Who’s face would you like to slap with a wet kipper?

Nicholas Cage.

Who has the most famous face in the world?

Howard from the Halifax advert.

Where can we see your face in the future?

I will be in Tesco on Hoe Street most days. The staff in there cheer me up when I go in. The security guard is a right legend. I also like the Hornbeam café. I do a lot of gigs in London. All can be found on my website www.robauton.co.uk
