A new virtual reality experience at Westfield Stratford City is giving east London shoppers the chance to immerse themselves in the latest trends.

Put on a headset and approach the large scale screen and you will be transformed into an avatar and transported into a series of digital experiences, journeying through the season’s most covetable trends: denim, floral and future modern.

Gesture-tracking technology will allow users to see their own hands within the virtual world, allowing them to interact with their avatars and fly through the landscape mixing and matching the different trends within a completely fantastical space.

Fashionistas Angela Scanlon, Laura Jackson and Lilah Parsons have each curated trend pods to give visitors inspiration and ideas for the season.

The denim area will see the avatar appear as if woven from thread; floral will create buds and sweeping colours representative of scent across the screen that colour flowers around you; and lastly you will experience future modern.

You will then be able to digitally curate products that fit these trends and experiment and push your style boundaries by discovering new looks.

American Eagle Outfitters will also be hosting a Denim Diaries video wall, which uses social media channels to gather shopper- generated posts using the #AEODenimDiaries tag to create live and interactive content – with prizes for the best post.
