Enjoy the sounds of summer this Friday, when Woodford Wells Club hosts an outdoor gala music evening.

The event will feature international opera singer Birgit Beer and singer-songwriter Sophie Hiller. Also on the bill is Ian Gallagher and the Rat Pack Big Band, who will perform Sinatra classics. The 17-piece swing band has performed with the likes of Michael Buble, Jools Holland and Robbie Williams.

A Caribbean steel band will be warming up the crowd from 6pm until the main acts start at 7.30pm.

There will be refreshments on offer, with a bar, beer tent, cocktails and barbecue, or take your own picnic to enjoy on the sports pitch during the show (please note alcohol cannot be brought into the event).

Summer Gala Musical Evening. Friday, July 9, gates open 5pm, at Woodford Wells Club, Monkhams Lane, Woodford Green. Over-14s only.
