As the beating heart of the community, our pubs are something we treasure dearly, which is why we believe it's time to give them something back!

Our local pubs are where we gather to enjoy stunning food, relax with a glass of wine or craft brew, share laughter and build special memories with family and friends. For almost 2,000 years the British pub has played an integral part in community life.

Whether you're a gin lover, an ale aficionado or a cocktail connoisseur, come wind, rain or shine a trip to pub is something we've always got time for! Luckily, there is no shortage of amazing alehouses, inns and taverns for us to explore.

But what we're really keen to know is where is that one place that you love going to more than anywhere else?

Perhaps it's your local round the corner where you love enjoying a quiet drink and chatting to the bar staff that by this point feel far more like friends, or maybe it's the place you go with loved ones every Sunday for their amazing roast dinner!

Wherever it may be we're offering newspaper readers the chance to celebrate their favourite boozer, by telling us where the best pub for them is!

Tell us about your favourite pub

We're inviting you to nominate your favourite pub to enter our competition. All we ask is that the pub in question is located within our newspaper's distribution area.

The closing date for nominations is Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Once all nominations have been collected, the top five pubs with the most votes will go through the next stage of our competition. Newspaper readers will then have the opportunity to vote for their favourite during the week commencing May 13, 2024.
