9:42am Thursday 2nd September 2010 in Walks
The latest in a series of free guided walks in Holborn, Bloomsbury and St Giles takes place this Friday at 5.30pm.
It will visit several sites in the area which featured in Sketches by Boz, Charles Dickens’ first novel. It will be led by professional guide and history graduate, Aly Mir, and you don’t need to have read the book beforehand because the stories will be explained.
On September 15 and 17 at 1pm, Hendrix’s Holborn marks the 40th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix’s death by visiting three sites in the area from the rock legend’s career.
The walks start outside Holborn Station. There is no need to book, just turn up. Details: www.inholborn.org
