US R&B star Alicia Keys is set to rock the O2 Arena again after announcing she will appear for a second time on her European tour, on Tuesday, July 8.

The top-selling 27-year-old Billboard music star performed to a sell-out crowd at the 20,000-seat arena last month and her second date will be the penultimate night of her European tour.

She rounds off her European dates at the MEN Arena in Manchester on July 9.

Tickets for the 02 date have already gone on sale and promoters say they anticipate the concert being a sell-out.

The announcement comes after Keys, born in New York, was forced to cancel a recent date at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) in Glasgow due to a bout of laryngitis.

So far this year, the star's career has soared to greater heights as she has won two Grammys and seen her third album, As I Am, sell more than a million copies.

The album includes the track Lesson Learned, with blues guitarist John Mayer, and Prelude to a Kiss, produced by hitmaker Timbaland.

Keys has been likened to soul legend Aretha Franklin and is now established as one of the world's leading artists.

She burst onto the music scene in 2001 with her criticially-acclaimed debut album Songs In A Minor, followed up in 2003 with her second album, Diary of Alicia Keys, which included the hit You Don't Know My Name.

To date, the high-profile performer has sold more than forty-one million albums and singles worldwide.

Tickets for the 02 Arena are £30 (golden circle) and £27. Call the 24hr ticket hotline on 08444 775 775 or visit site in related links.
