MURDER victim Jack Large was in breach of an ASBO when he was stabbed in the head, the Guardian can reveal.

One of the conditions of the order, issued by the Met Police, was that the 14-year-old was not supposed to leave his home between 9pm and 7am.

Jack, of Yeomen Way, Hainault, was stabbed in the head and back in Limes Avenue, Chigwell, shortly before 11pm on Friday, November 31.

He underwent surgery at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, but died two days later when his family made the agonising decision to turn off his life support machine.

Jack's curfew was due to expire on April 23 next year but the remainder of the order would have remained in place until December 21 next year.

It contains seven conditions, including a ban on Jack visiting any part of Barkingside High Street and another prohibiting him from "initiating contact in any way or remaining in the company of" 21 individuals specifically named in the order.

Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing said: "It's unfortunate this lad's parents had not encouraged him to comply with the terms of his ASBO.

"The Government will have to look at the possibility of putting greater resources into enforcing ASBOs."

A friend of Jack said: "Jack was turning his life around, he was a fun lad, maybe he was no angel, but he also was not a bad lad."
