MEDIA sources claim that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger may make a move for Birmingham City's unsettled Daniel de Ridder.
The 24-year-old Dutch midfielder appears unsettled at St Andrews, and while the former Ajax and Celta de Vigo man has struggled to hold down a regular starting role with the Blues, reports are suggesting the Gunners could swoop.
"Everything has altered for me 180 degrees and I am frustrated I am not involved in the squad," he told the Birmingham Mail. "I believe I can still add something to the team even if it is making an impact as a substitute or on the left side.
"It is frustrating because I like the club, the city and the fans and I hope we can stay in the Premier League. But I also have to think about my own career if I am not playing."
Media reports suggest that Wenger was interested in De Ridder last summer and could yet still bring the former Dutch Under-21 international to the Emirates Stadium in a shock £3million move.
