WANSTEAD: Man found dead named

A MAN who died at a Wanstead address under suspicious' circumstances has been named.

Ian Olley, 46, of Laindon, Essex, was pronounced dead by London Ambulance Service staff at a house in Brading Crescent, Wanstead, at around 10pm on Monday evening.

A 58-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and was bailed to return to police on July 18 pending further investigation.

Mr Olley's father told the Guardian: "I don't know how he died, all I know is that the police are investigating."

A post mortem carried out at East Ham mortuary gave the cause of death as asphyxiation.

A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at approximately 9.30pm on May 12 to an address off Aldersbrook Road and we sent two ambulances to the scene.

"A man in his 40s went into cardiac arrest and died at the address. Paramedics worked on him at the scene but were unable to resuscitate him."
