Spurs defender keen on Fulham move

TOTTENHAM'S Paul Stalteri is keen to make a permanent move to Fulham this summer, after spending much of the season on loan at Craven Cottage.

Stalteri moved to the Cottagers in January and has made 13 appearances under Roy Hodgson, helping the team to a dramatic final day victory at Portsmouth that saw them retain their top flight status.

And after playing a key part in Fulham's late revival, Stalteri is keen to make the move a permanent one from White Hart Lane.

The Canada captain (pictured) told fulhamfc.com: "I feel very proud. My goal when I came here was to keep this club in the Premier League.

"The last three months have been a grind and the longest three months I've had in my career in terms of pressure and ups and downs - but in the end it paid off for us.

"Thank you to the fans and all those who welcomed me into the team and the club.

"I've enjoyed my time and I hope we can continue next season."
