Ramos set to bring Bolivian striker to Spurs

JUANDE Ramos will make an improved £6million bid for Bolivian striker Marcelo Moreno.

The player's club Cruzeiro have already turned down a reported £4million bid.

But Spurs boss Ramos appears intent on landing his man, returning with a much more substantial offer after club preseident Alvimar Perrella described the club's last bid as "well short of what was expected."

Ramos is eager to bolster his attacking options, following the departure of Jermain Defoe to Portsmouth in January and the imminent exit of Dimitar Berbatov.

Moreno, 20, has an exceptional scoring record in Brazil, having notched 19 goals in just 32 appearances for Cruzeiro.

He has scored twice in four outings for Bolivia.
