WEST Ham duo Dean Ashton and Anton Ferdinand will be allowed to leave the club this summmer, according to media sources.

Irons boss Alan Curbishley has been told by the club's board to trim his 34-man squad to save money on wages.

And, according to The Mirror, Curbishley is ready to cash in on Ashton and Ferdinand.

Striker Ashton - who finished Irons top scorer with 11 goals last season - has been linked with an £8 million move to Premier League champions Manchester United, and is also rumoured to be attracting the attention of Sunderland and Newcastle.

Meanwhile, defender Ferdinand is reportedly available for £3 million after 18 months dogged by off the field problems and a series of niggling injuries.

He has been linked with a move to bitter London rivals Spurs.

Speculation has been mounting as to who their replacements will be, with several sources suggesting that Everton's Andy Johnson and Newcastle defender Steven Taylor will be at Upton Park in time for the new season.
