YOUNG performers took a trip down the rabbit hole with an Alice in Wonderland-inspired production.

Students from Stage One performing arts school, based in Buckhurst Hill, staged three performances of specially-written show Lost in Wonderland on November 2 and 3 at the Millfield Theatre in Edmonton.

The production, which is the brainchild of director Caroline Airs and her fellow teachers, featured popular characters including the Queen of Hearts, Cinderella and Snow White - along with some new creations.

Mrs Airs, 43, who has run the school for 25 years, said: "Lost In Wonderland has been one of the most exciting shows to work on.

"It's been a wonderful production for all involved. The kids have worked so hard because when we do shows I really work them."

Stage One provides lessons in musical theatre, hip hop, street jazz, ballet, drama and singing for children and adults, with classes held in Buckhurst Hill and South Woodford.

  • The school is currently on the look out for local businesses to sponsor future productions. For more information about sponsorship or classes, visit www.stageonedanceuk.biz or call 01992 651 222.
