FALLEN heroes will be remembered with church services, wreath-laying ceremonies and parades on Remembrance Day.

Residents in towns and villages across Epping Forest will gather on Sunday to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the two World Wars and more recent conflicts.

Details of events across the district:

Epping

Friday November 9: Dedication of the garden of remembrance at the war memorial at 10.45am, followed by a service by the Commonwealth war graves at Epping cemetery at 11am.

Sunday November 11: Parade from the Civic Offices, in the High Street, shortly after 2pm, proceeding to war memorial for wreath-laying ceremony. Service at 3pm in St John's Church, followed by refreshments in Epping Hall from 4pm.

Loughton

Sunday November 11: Meet at the British Legion in Church Hill at 11.30am, fall-in at 11.55am. Parade starting at 12pm and marching to memorial in Kings Green. Service of remembrance and wreath laying at 12.15pm.

Waltham Abbey

Sunday November 11: Service of remembrance at Waltham Abbey Church at 10.45am.

Buckhurst Hill

Friday November 9: Service at Loyola Prep School, with pupils of St John's Primary School and members of the Royal British Legion, from 10am.

Sunday November 11: Service at St John's Church Centenary Hall and 'messy church' service in St John's School barn, both at 10.30am, followed by wreath laying at the lych gate.

Monday November 12: Ceremony at the memorial in Pelly House, Queens Road, at 12pm.

Nazeing

Sunday November 11: Parade from the Triangle to All Saints Church at 10.25am, service at the church's lych gate at 10.45am.

Theydon Bois

Sunday November 11: Service of remembrance at St Mary's Church, Coppice Row, beginning at the war memorial at 10.45am.

Chipping Ongar

Sunday November 11: Wreath-laying ceremony and parade, beginning at 2.30pm at the Ongar War Memorial Medical Centre, in Fyfield Road.

Chigwell

Sunday November 11: Remembrance services at All Saints Church, Romford Road, Chigwell Row at 9.30am, St Mary's Church in Chigwell High Road at 10.45am and St Winifred's Church in Manor Road at 11.15am.

North Weald

Sunday November 11: Act of remembrance at the war memorial at St Andrew's Church at 10.55am, followed by service.

Wreath laying service at the Airfield memorial, Hurricane Way at 12.15pm.
