In this glittering year, the Chigwell Choir is holding a gala concert to celebrate its very own diamond jubilee.

The choir, conducted by Alexander Campkin, will be performing Weber’s Jubilee Mass, Mozart’s Regina Coeli in C Major, and Donna Nobis Pacem by Vaughan Williams, with orchestral accompaniment and soloists.

The choir will be joined by the Chigwell School Chapel Choir for the Mozart piece, and the youngsters will also be singing two Mealor madrigals. There will also be a surprise to open the concert.

The Chigwell Choir, formerly the Chigwellian Choral Society, is an enthusiastic amateur group of around 50 singers from a wide area including Epping, Loughton, Woodford, Ilford, Romford and North and East London.
