FIFTY works by talented local artists have gone on display at an annual exhibition.

Members of Loughton Art Group opened their show at the town's library, in Traps Hill, on Saturday.

The exhibition includes paintings of Epping Forest beauty spots, landmarks and roads, as well as more abstract works and still lifes.

Group secretary Pat Stone, 76, said: "There are quite a few paintings of scenes around Loughton.

"We were delighted to find on Monday morning that we have already sold three."

Loughton Art Group is made up of 24 amateur artists who meet regularly to develop their painting and drawing skills.

Anyone interested in joining can enquire at the library desk when visit the exhibition, which runs until December 7.
