A DIWALI celebration is free for everyone who wishes to attend.


The Hindu, Jain and Sikh 'Festival of Lights' is set to be celebrated at an event in Waltham Forest Assembly Hall, in Forest Road, Walthamstow, this Friday.


The event is open to anyone to attend between 7pm and 11.30pm and a £5,000 firework display will mark the end of the night.


Tickets are available from the town hall and any library in the borough.
