CHILDREN at a Redbridge primary school have taken letters home this afternoon informing their parents that their headteacher will be absent for ‘the next few weeks’.
Graham Alderton, head of Roding Primary School in Roding Lane North, Woodford Green, will not be in school for ‘personal reasons’ according to the letter.
It continues: “The local authority will be supporting the school and the school’s leadership team to ensure that your child’s education does not suffer.”
Nobody at the school was prepared to comment further.
Redbridge Council has been asked for a statement.
