PERMIT parking schemes will be introduced in two roads after residents demanded them.
At a meeting of the council’s Area Two committee last night, councillors approved the introduction of the schemes in Forest Road and Knighton Lane in Woodford Green.
The Forest Road scheme will be introduced seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The Knighton Lane scheme will require cars to display permits between 8.30am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday.
The Knighton Lane scheme is being introduced to alleviate parking problems associated with nearby Holly House Hospital.
The Forest Road permits are being introduced after a petition from residents complaining about parking on their road by parents picking up children from nearby Bancroft’s School.
Residents were consulted on both schemes.
