Man attempts to rob Fairbet Bookmakers in Goodmayes Road

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery on a bookmakers.

Fairbet in Goodmayes Road, Goodmayes, was targeted on November 10 at around 9.30pm.

The robber entered the shop and demanded cash from a member of staff while claiming to have a gun.

The employee refused and threw a coin dispenser at the suspect before leaving the shop.

The robber then fled empty handed.

He is described as black, 5 ft 9 ins, wearing grey jogging bottoms and a green top with a horizontal stripe pattern.
