CHILDREN in Waltham Forest are some of the least likely to attend a good or outstanding primary school, according to Ofsted.
Just 56 per cent of pupils attend such a school in the borough, according to Ofsted's annual report released yesterday, which compiled league tables of all local authorities.
The borough had one of the 30 lowest percentages for pupils attending a good primary school, trailing neighbouring boroughs Newham, which scored 75 per cent, and Redbridge, on 72 per cent.
But 77 per cent of children attended a good or outstanding secondary school in Waltham Forest, compared to 66 per cent in Newham and 94 per cent in Redbridge.
Overall, 70 per cent of schools in England were rated good or better.
Camden tops the tables for primary schools with 92 per cent of children in schools rated good or better.
