PARENTS have been granted their annual insight into how well the district's primary schools are performing.
League tables showing test results for 11-year-olds across England were published by the Department for Education yesterday.
The figures reveal how many Year 6 pupils at each primary school in Epping Forest reached the government's required standards of Level 4 in both English and maths.
High Beech Church of England Primary topped the district table, with 100 per cent of children reaching the target - one of only 14 of the county's 540 schools to manage it
Ivy Chimneys, Buckhurst Hill Community, High Ongar and Moreton C of E also excelled, with more than 90 per cent of pupils making the mark.
Overall Essex met the national average of 79 per cent - but Epping Forest fell slightly short with an average of just over 78 per cent.
Performing less well was Coopersale and Theydon Garnon C of E School, where 61 per cent of children reaching Level 4 - a fall of 21 per cent on last year's figures.
Shelley Primary School, where 56 per cent of pupils hit targets, was at the bottom of the Epping Forest table.
The government considers schools to be failing if fewer than 60 per cent of 11-year-olds reach the Level 4 mark.
