FIRE juggling and hot chocolate warmed up the crowd as they gathered for the lighting of a public menorah.
The event took place yesterday evening at Chigwell Station Green to mark Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights.
Chairman of Epping Forest District Council Brian Rolfe and Chigwell Parish Council chairman Richard Alvin were invited to light two of the candles.
Rabbi Odom Brandman, director of Buckhurst Hill Chabad Lubavitch centre, said: "It was the sixth night of Chanukah, so we lit the main candle and then six others.
"We had a little bit of entertainment that we haven't done before - a young boy did some fire juggling - and we served hot chocolates and doughnuts.
"It was a lovely evening with a lovely atmosphere."
