FATHER Christmas and his helpers have been doing their rounds in the district - and hope to have raised thousands for local causes.
Saint Nick has spent the past two weeks collecting donations in Epping, Theydon Bois, Coopersale and North Weald, helped by members of Epping Rotary Club.
Funds raised will go to St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood and youth venue The Box, in Epping High Street - and the team hopes to have smashed last year's total of £5,000.
Club president Richard Crone said "I cannot thank people enough for their generosity at this time of year.
"It makes a huge difference to local charities which depend heavily on donations and support from our local community."
