A SOCIETY is inviting aspiring astronomers to join a series of winter stargazing events.
The Loughton Astronomical is staging a string of observation sessions to mark the return of BBC television series Stargazing Live in the new year.
Free observation sessions will take place at Theydon Bois scout hut, Loughton Lane, on Thursday January 3 and 10 at 8pm.
If skies are cloudy, short talks will be given instead.
Weekend observations will be held at the same venue at 6pm on Sunday January 13 and February 10 and 16.
