TWO train stations in Waltham Forest are to have new shelters installed on platforms.
According to the Barking to Gospel Oak Line User Group (BGOLUG), they will be provided at the Leyton Midland and Leytonstone High Road stops on the route in the new year.
The group has long been calling for new shelters.
Its secretary Richard Pout said: “At last, after five years of arguing for improved waiting accommodation and more of it, we have scored some success."
BGOLUG said it would continue to campaign for further improvements on the line in the new year.
