DESPITE the New Year just having started, artists are already looking ahead to Valentine's Day.

E17 Designers are creating gifts for men and women based on the work of Walthamstow's most famous artist, William Morris.

The items, including precious gems, cufflinks, prints and corsages, can be bought as gifts at the William Morris Gallery in Forest Road, Walthamstow, on Saturday, February 9.

Visitors to the sale at the gallery between 10am and 5pm will also hear a 'Valentine medley' from local choir Natural Voices, and Forest Poet's poem recitals.

Entry will cost £2 for adults but is free for children under 16.

The day's events will also feature a raffle prize draw.
