A clothes shop which shut its doors for the last time yesterday is to be replaced by a hairdresser according to builders refurbishing the property.
Vintage in High Street, Wanstead sold new and nearly new vintage clothing.
Workmen at the shop say it will be replaced by Enigma Hairdressing, who currently operate out of another premises in the high street.
Threadneedle Pensions Ltd which own the current property leased to the hairdressers have applied to Redbridge Council for a change of usage which would allow them to serve food and drink.
Planning documents submitted to the council by agents Indigo Planning Ltd, say: "Our client has received interest in this unit from a coffee shop operator."
The managers of both shops have been approached for comment.
