A breakdancing crew from a Wanstead School have been named the best in London.
The Wansteady Crew from Wanstead High School in Redbridge Lane West took part in a London-wide breakdance battle at Acland Burghley school in north London, winning the title of ‘Step in 2 Bhoy Battle Champions’.
They beat competition from 10 other schools and impressed a panel of break dancing experts with their moves.
The event was organised by Step into Dance, a community youth programme which aims to encourage greater participation and understanding in all forms of dance.
Step into Dance is a partnership programme between the Royal Academy of Dance and The Jack Petchey Foundation.
