The proposed closure of three police stations and a neighbourhood base in Waltham Forest have been confirmed today as part of cost-cutting measures.
They include the closure of the safer neighbourhood team office in Walthamstow High Street and the Waltham House police station in Leytonstone.
The plans also reaffirm the 'closures' of Leyton and Walthamstow Police Stations, although these were previously announced by the force last year.
If the proposals are approved, Chingford Police Station would be the only historic station left in the borough.
But the Met also lists the Leyton Custody Centre in Boreham Close as a public-access police station.
The announcement was made as part of City Hall's draft Police and Crime Plan.
It outlines proposals to save £500million across the capital by 2015 by closing dozens of stations and bases.
Walthamstow Police Station, in Forest Road, has been shut since September 2011 when it was damaged in an arson attack.
The Met later revealed it could not afford to repair the damage and put the building up for sale in October 2012.
A public consultation on the proposed closures begins today and closes on February 28.
