Plans for a temporary mosque in Leyton have been approved.
The Noor Ul Islam Trust has been given permission to run the place of worship at 717 High Road, formerly the site of a builder's supply shop, for three years.
The trust is temporarily relocating while its main mosque, further down the High Road, undergoes a major refurbishment.
The plans include a two storey portakabin building and linked marquees.
The application was approved by officers from Waltham Forest Council under delegated powers.
