An authority has announced plans to freeze its share of council tax for the coming year.
Essex County Council’s cabinet will recommend the move to a meeting of all members next month, along with plans to cut spending by £55 million.
The savings would be part of plans to provide more school places across the country, invest £65 million in roads and footpaths and ensure libraries stay open.
