UPDATE: Woman whose body found in woodland was from Waltham Forest
The woman whose body was found in woodland this morning was from Waltham Forest, police have confirmed.
Officers were called at 8.24am to Chingford Plains near Bury Road in Chingford after the corpse was spotted by a horse rider.
Police have confirmed they are not treating the death as suspicious and a spokesman said next of kin of the woman, thought to be in her 30s, have been informed.
However, the case has now been passed to the Coroner for Essex and Thurrock and it is the Coroner’s Office which will decide when to release the woman’s identity.
