Waltham Abbey’s connections to Reformation England will be explored in a talk at a Woodford Green school.
Peter Huggins of the West Essex Archaeological Group (WEAG) will deliver the illustrated lecture at Woodford County High School in High Road, Woodford Green, on February 11.
Mr Huggins has directed excavations for the Waltham Abbey Historical Society and dug at Copped Hall where WEAG is continuing excavations this summer.
His talk will explore what his archaeological discoveries at Waltham Abbey can tell us about changes in theological practices that came about as a result of the Reformation.
The event begins at 7.45pm and is scheduled to end at 9.30pm. Refreshments will be available.
Entrance is free for WEAG members with non-members asked to provide a donation.
